First Look

For some, a first look by the bride and groom before the wedding is a total no-no. For others, it is a time to ease nerves and a way to capture some great photographs of the bride and groom before the “I do.”

We have seen an increasing trend of couples choosing to have a first look moment, and some fabulous and fun pictures to show for it. If there is one thing that all couples feel like they don’t have enough of on their wedding day, it is time. For couples who choose to have these first look moments, it is a way to make use of the hours spent awaiting their walk down the isle. For the couples who want to hurry to their reception and kick back with guests, a first look session is highly encouraged. A first look session also allows for more unique shots and locations with the bride and groom.

For those of you who are hesitant to do the first look session, think about doing a few fun shots with a door in between or with your future spouse blindfolded. This way you will not be breaking tradition, but just twisting it a little. These pictures always seem to capture the curiosity and excitement of both the bride and groom, and will make for great keepsakes down the road.

  1. Beautiful pictures! In making a wedding successful you have to find one of the best wedding venues, good food and a superbly talented photographer. These three important things will make your day a memorable one. Please share the photographer’s contact detail as well.
