Bridal Bouquets

No matter the size of your wedding, one thing is for sure…you will be carrying a beautiful bridal bouquet. For many brides, this is one major detail that you think about for months and months. Not only will your bouquet be a centerpiece for all your portraits and most of your wedding day photos, but a memento to preserve and save for many years to come.

For many brides, picking out the perfect bridal bouquet can be a quite daunting task, especially with so many flower and style options. Below, you will find a breakdown of our favorite styles and colors from the past few seasons.

First, we start with the most popular, modern twist on bridal bouquets, the posy bouquet. The most common posy style bouquets are round and small with tightly arranged roses. These are the bouquets most often seen with a beautiful ribbon wrapped around the stems in order to incorporate the bride’s wedding colors. For brides looking for a more traditional bouquet, perhaps the cascading bouquet would suit the best. This bouquet was created to flow across the brides hands and down towards the bottom of her gown. The cascading of the bouquet is often created by the incorporation of beautiful leafy greenery. Whatever type of bouquet you choose, always keep in mind the time of year as well as the type of dress you are wearing. You would not want to have to pay triple for a bridal bouquet simply because the flowers had to be flown in from across the globe, nor do you want your bouquet to overshadow the detailing of your gown.

Nailin' Your Wedding Look

Now if there is one thing I am obsessed with, it is finding new fabulous nail colors. If you are the kind of girl who has five shades of polish that are practically the same color, but swear they are very different, then everyone will probably expect you to have some fabulous nail color on your wedding day. Here are some ideas for you to “nail” your wedding day look!

When the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William took place in April of 2011, every little detail was documented. Including, the nail color that beautifully graced Princess Kate’s fingernails. To complete her royal look, she opted for a perfect combination of Essie Allure and So Laque Rose Lounge. Light pinks and neutrals are always a favorite for many brides, and I can assure you that if it was perfect for Kate, it will be perfect for you! Just like your hair and makeup, make sure you have a test-run for your nail color. No one wants to be rushing to change your nail color moments before you walk down the aisle.

For those of you who aren’t a huge fan of pinks and neutrals, try a classic French manicure. A French manicure will go with beautifully with a white or ivory wedding gown and absolutely everything in your honeymoon wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to be picky, after all, it is your wedding day and there will be plenty of pictures of you and that gorgeous ring!
